Australian print software company wins top business award

Australian print management software suppliers PaperCut has been recognised in this year’s Smart Company awards for its ability to help businesses cut down their printing costs. PaperCut was recognised by national magazine Smart Company alongside other leading brands like Fitness First at this year’s awards.

The software developed by PaperCut is designed to help businesses reduce their printing costs and thereby reduce their environmental footprint. It is specifically targeted at the graphic design, engineering, accounting, education and architectural sectors.

Chris Dance, PaperCut’s director and co-founder was delighted to receive this prestigious accolade saying:

“Our rapid growth has been fueled by our expansion into the US market and through our worldwide partners. It's great to see companies in Australia being recognised as leading exporters in other areas besides minerals and sheep."

In awarding PaperCut, Smart Company commented that PaperCut’s ability to adapt its business model after its exporting business was affected by the rising Australian dollar:

"Their sales to $USD countries have dropped by up to 25% this year.

"They've tried to respond to this by pricing their products in local currencies, and not immediately converting their assets to Australian dollars.”
