Festival providing fun and community friendship near Epping

September 27, 2016 by

Malahang Reserve in Heidelberg West will be holding its annual Community Festival in November.

The Festival gives an opportunity for people of all ages, both locals and residents of nearby areas such as Print company in Epping printing services Epping, to come together as a community to enjoy a colourful, fun-filled day of music, entertainment and games.

Craft stalls and markets will be set up for visitors to browse. Plenty of food and drink will be available, or people can bring their own and have a family picnic. The community barbecue will be selling sausages for the cost of a gold coin.

Sponsored by Blue Cross Waterdale, an aged care service provider, the festival is an annual event giving visitors a chance to interact with local traders and community groups. Traditionally opening with a Welcome to Country to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land, the Wurundjeri people, the day will include entertainment provided by local artists, while community groups will be present to offer information and activities.

Many fun events will be on offer for the whole family, including children. Flyers, brochures, and catalogues are likely to be used to promote this event in good time for its start.

The festival will be held on Sunday, November 20, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Malahang Reserve, corner of Southern and Oriel Roads, Heidelberg West. Entry will be free.
