High-productivity printing ink to hit Scoresby in 2012

A new quick drying sheetfed ink system has been launched by ink manufacturers Sun Chemical. Known as SunLit Titan and designed to increase productivity for printers, the new high speed, quick-drying ink will dry in a matter of minutes enabling sheets to be put through the finishing process much quicker.

SunLit Titan is best suited to small to medium run print jobs such as bespoke brochure printing that require less time to dry.

Felipe Mellado, chief marketing officer at Sun Chemical said of its latest innovation:

According to Jason Kent of DIC Australia, printing ink and coatings distributers, SunLit Titan should be available for printers in Scoresby and around the rest of country in early 2012. He said that Sunlit Titan was fast drying, meaning that jobs can be completed more or less instantly. Designed for runs of up to 10,000, using it means that a sealer or other coating does not need to be applied before the sheet is turned. The added bonus is that single sided sheeting can be binded immediatley.

The quick drying abilities of SunLit Titan is attributed to raw materials that create a fast setting and also rapid and through oxidative drying.
