Morgana upgrades folder printer
July 8, 2011 by Robyn
Morgana has launched an upgraded version to its Docufold Pro small-format folder which follows last year’s upgrade of the entire Pro range.
The company had no plans originally to launch a folder product, but did so following high customer demand. According to Quen Baum, managing director at Morgana:
“We were not sure it was necessary, but we got a lot of customers asking why we hadn't done it; they felt we missed a trick. It has been produced by popular request."
The relaunched Docufold user-friendly functionality is aimed all level of users making use of the machine for their printing services.
"You don't need any know-how to run the machine," Baum said. "You just push a button and it automates and the sheets come out the other end. Companies with skilled staff, who have been running folders for years, may not want to pay the extra for the automation. But there will be a lot of start-up digital printers that will be interested in the machine."
Among the user-friendly features is touchscreen technology, high speed print runs at 27,500 A4 sheets or 18,000 A3 sheets per hour and a proof fold button that lets users send three sheets through for a final check before the print job commences. This makes it ideal for high capacity or complex print jobs such as flyer or brochure printing that require several folds.
