Print Companies in Epping
Epping is a Melbourne suburb on the northern fringe that is benefiting enormously from Melbourne’s population explosion. New housing estates are appearing everywhere, made up of people from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds, many of these non-English speaking with young families. In recognition of Epping’s rapid expansion, the area now houses the large and expanding Northern Hospital, which adjoins the Epping Plaza shopping centre and a market that offers fresh meat and fish. Train and bus routes make Epping easily accessible, and take travellers to the Melbourne in around 45 minutes, and locals enjoy their recreation at parks and local sporting ovals. The print industry is well placed for a beneficial partnership with the local burgeoning commercial sector.
The Whittlesea Council, which covers Epping, is keen to encourage local business, particularly in linking them to existing supports and resources. It has joined with the State Government of Victoria in a project for the future – the Plan for Epping Central – that will harness the suburb’s growth by transforming it into a thriving regional centre. Plans include higher density housing, a revamped shopping precinct, restaurants, leisure and cultural facilities, bike paths and improved public transport links. The Council is keen to reduce heavy traffic in the area, pushing roads as far as possible to the edge of the city, in favour of a ‘greener’ approach.
Of great interest, of course, are plans to include the development of high-quality office space, in expectation of growing local business in this burgeoning suburb. The project, ‘Epping Central’, has been designated a Principal Activity Centre by the Victoria Government, and that is very good news. This will provide even more opportunity for the print industry to work with locals, producing business cards and brochures, stationery, flyers, and digital printing in Epping, along with many other complementary print services.
