Print Companies in Bellevue
Bellevue, a mix of established residential and industrial areas as well as parkland, comes under two local government bodies – the City of Swan, which has the bulk of the Bellevue population, and the Shire of Mundaring. It is an eastern suburb of WA’s capital city,
Perth, and is 23 km from the CBD.
The City of Swan’s pocket of Bellevue is linked in with neighbouring suburbs and generally known as Midland Place, which has the largest population of the various communities that make up the City of Swan. Midland Place is the gateway to the northern and eastern wheatbelts, and is home to the Midland Redevelopment Area, which is assigned for expansion of the area’s ed uses – housing, apartments, cafes and restaurants, retail shops and the State’s largest police complex. Midland Place also includes a major State Government urban renewal project, which is ongoing. The population is largely family-based, with a high proportion of children and teenagers.
A mixed-use area such as this, with a settled, family-based demographic is very good news for print companies, which can depend on a steady and growing market in an area that clearly expects to grow in size and influence.
Further, the City of Swan is very proactive in terms of economic development, and had created a Business and Tourism Unit, which offers linkages with industry associations and training centres, as well as supportive programs for local business. Bellevue benefits from the Swan Valley Visitor Centre, in neighbouring Guildford, which sees more than 50,000 visitors a year.
A growing population and mixed use development, coupled with a thriving and well-supported tourist industry, bode well for print companies such as Minuteman. Not only is there a need for business cards and stationery, and commerce-based services such as digital, brochure and catalogue printing, but postcards are also ever-popular.
