Perth proud to showcase life of Heath Ledger

One of Print company in Perth printing services Perth’s favourite sons, Heath Ledger, is currently being celebrated at the Art Gallery of Print company in Western Australia printing services Western Australia (AGWA) in a three-month exhibition of photos, diaries and other items synonymous with the actor.

Known for being an artist who completely immersed himself in every character he played, Ledger was also a keen photographer, journal keeper and director of music videos. By the time of his death in 2008, he had amassed a vast collection of memorabilia through which the world is now able to celebrate his work.

The free exhibition, entitled ‘Heath Ledger: A Life in Pictures’ is a collaborative project between the gallery, the WA museum, and Ledger’s family, who have donated several personal items.

It includes not only his photos, research journals and unpublished video footage, but also costumes from his most famous roles, such as the Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ and Ennis Del Mar in ‘Brokeback Mountain’.

This will be an opportunity for fans to recall his life’s work, and the legacy he left for the film industry. The exhibition, which opened in mid-October, runs at the AGWA in the Perth Cultural Centre until Monday, January 29 – a week after the tenth anniversary of Ledger’s death. Gallery hours are from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Wednesday to Monday.
