A super region for investment and increased jobs in the City of Print company in Liverpool printing services Liverpool could be among benefits created by the establishment of the Western Sydney Airport.

According to Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller, the $5.3bn project is one of Australia infrastructure’s most significant pieces. She adds:

“But it is just the start. Our challenge – and our opportunity – is to ensure it becomes all that it can be for the people of Western Sydney and the residents of Liverpool in particular.”

Mayor Waller said Liverpool plays an important role in the success as what she described as an aerotropolis – an area where an aerospace precinct, convention centres, business parks and advanced manufacturing are able to support each other.

She said the airport will offer unrivalled opportunities, including its ability to create an aerotropolis in the centre of Liverpool, in which businesses ranging from Print company in printing services printing services printing services to travel outlets assist each other.

This type of connectivity between industries will create many ongoing benefits for the entire community, she said.

According to the PwC report ‘Liverpool: Gateway to Sydney’s Aerotropolis’, there are five major investment and business sectors poised for notable growth: tourism, defence and aerospace, medical technologies, food manufacturing, and logistics and distribution.

City of Liverpool’s Acting Chief Executive Keirsten Fishburn said signs are already positive, with many opportunities identified in the report correlating with Liverpool’s heritage such as its history as a food grower, manufacturing leader and base for the military.
