Eureka and Art In An Hour have teamed up to host the 2018 Art Summer School.

Budding artists from Print company in Abbotsford printing services Abbotsford, Print company in Clifton Hill printing services Clifton Hill and surrounding areas are being urged to take part in the course which, according to a spokesman for the organisers, will help fuel creative passion and bring out the inner artist in all participants.

The classes will be conducted by Art In An Hour’s Thea Bates and Eureka’s Michael O’Hanlon.

Both artists are highly experienced in the creation of visual art and as teachers of the craft and, according to flyer printing promoting the event, will share their tips of drawing based on the human form and costumes.

The Art Summer School will be held over three days at the Abbotsford Convent and within its gardens set along the Yarra River.

The spokesman said course participants will have an opportunity to try many new things, while also experiencing the freedom of their art and gaining new skills from taking part in the open studio process.

He said they will also be able to put their hands to Drawing from Life and making Bespoke Brushes as well as finding out how to expand detailed sketches into life-sized works of art.

While basic materials will be supplied, those attending Art Summer School 2018, to be held from January 4 to 6, are urged to take their own paper, pastels, pencils, charcoal and inks.
