Australian Tax Office brings free business workshops to Narre Warren

January 24, 2018 by

Business owners should arm themselves with a notepad, calculator and business cards, and get ready for a day of networking and knowledge at the upcoming Record Keeping Workshop for Small Business in Narre Warren.

It is well established that the complexities of running a business often leads to small business failure; the Australian Securities and Investments Commission reported in 2015 that approximately two out of three small businesses fail in their first three years of operation, and that approximately 40% of those that failed between 2011-2012 did so due to poor cash management. It can be daunting trying to navigate this potential minefield so, to help new and small business owners understand the fundamentals of balancing their books, the Australian Tax Office is bringing a free, three-hour workshop to Bunjil Place Library on 13 March, 2018.

During this workshop, business owners will work on practical examples that will help them to understand how to manage their business finances by learning the importance of good bookkeeping, how to stay compliant with recordkeeping requirements, tips, tricks, and where to go for support or assistance.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and network with fellow business owners on the day.

This workshop is free and starts at 10:00 am. For more information or to register a place, visit Eventbrite.
