Meet your fellow business owners

Kingston Council has organised a networking event for local business owners to be held on Thursday 20th September. People running their own businesses are always busy, with little time to form connections with other people in the area but often nearby businesses can

work together. Perhaps the cleaning contractors could pair with the printers three doors down. The printing company finds a good cleaning service and the cleaners find someone to print their business cards.

‘Meet your Mates’ creates an opportunity for members of the local business community to meet fellow owners and operators. Business owners from Mentone, Moorabbin, Cheltenham, Beaumaris and nearby suburbs are encouraged to come along for some informal networking over finger food and drinks. Each business has the chance of a two-minute spot to tell other attendees about their business. There will also be representatives from Council present to talk about what kinds of support the council can offer businesses, such as, the Kingston Sustainable Business Network which brings together businesses looking for ways to operate more sustainably, the Rising Stars Roundtable for up and coming business leaders and the Mentor Partners Program where experienced business mentors offer their expertise to help other business owners.

The September Meet your Mates Business Networking Event will be held at Sweet Espresso, Shop 8, 27/29 Nepean Highway, Mentone from 5.30 to 7.30pm. Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased via the Eventbrite website.
