Spoken word performances to take place in Narre Warren

September 22, 2018 by

Many Melbourne suburbs host regular spoken word events and Narre Warren is no exception.

The studio space at Bunjil Place is the venue for a monthly evening of stories, poetry, music and comedy. The evenings are organised by Littlefoot and Company which brings people together to have fun, connect, learn and grow in a creative atmosphere.

Artists interested in performing can get in touch with the organisers as there will be open mic spots available on the night. Anyone interested in spoken word performance is welcome to come and watch or take their courage in their hands and stand up and perform.

Bunjil Place is the City of Casey’s entertainment precinct, with a wide variety of facilities, including a library, gallery, theatre, function centre, community plaza and customer service centre all in one location.

The design has won many architectural awards and it is an address that employees are proud to have on their business cards. The name Bunjil, and the architecture itself, was inspired by the stories of the traditional owners of the land which feature Bunjil the creator, who made man from the land.

The spoken word events are free and begin at 7:30 pm. The remaining Spoken Word Nights for 2018 will be held on Thursday 18th October, Thursday 8th November and Thursday 20th December.
