Festival time for Heathmont residents

The Maroondah Festival is set to return to Croydon Park in November.

The event is one of the biggest community events in Melbourne, with an estimated 25,000 people expected to attend. It brings together the council, community groups and businesses within the local area and surrounding region.

Heathmont community groups are invited to register for a site. The festival is a unique opportunity to connect with residents. In the build-up to events such as this, print shops can be kept busy by supplying flyers, banners and poster printing services.

The family-friendly event is free to attend and will feature low cost activities for all ages. Last year’s event featured the Tastes of Maroondah stage and the Sounds of Maroondah stage. The Platypus Junction Kids Kingdom and Youth Space were big hits with the younger crowd. This year’s event is shaping up to be even better.

Maroondah Council will host Café Consult, a unique opportunity for the community to comment on a range of council initiatives and activities. A wide range of businesses have teamed up with the council to sponsor the event.

The 2018 Maroondah Festival will be held at Croydon Park on Sunday 11 November from 10am to 4pm. The council encourages the use of public transport to attend the event. Further information and details can be found on the Maroondah Festival website and Facebook page.
