Visitors to the Sunshine Coast in January can head along to The Ginger Factory at Yandina which is holding a three-day Ginger Flower and Food Festival, celebrating all things ginger and much more.

Providing entertainment for all the family, there will be animal experiences, live music, market stalls and talks from experts in gardening and food. The talks will cover topics as diverse as growing root crops, how to create floral displays, contemporary garden design, and honeybees.

The 115-year-old Moreton Ginger Train will be running to take visitors on a tour around the gardens and the Overboard Boat Ride will be offering a water adventure for all ages to enjoy. The Ginger Café will have meals and snacks featuring local produce and the Ice Creamery will have a wide range of delicious ice creams, all made on site.

The Ginger Factory produces Buderim Ginger, which is exported to more than 17 countries from the UK to Japan and New Zealand to the USA. Its distinctive logo design is becoming a familiar sight around the world. The range of ginger products, including marmalade, sauce, chocolate ginger, cordial and ginger beers, can be purchased in the Ginger Shop, along with honey, macadamias and other gourmet food products.

The festival will be held on 18th to 20th January and entry is free.
