Santa to appear in Whitehorse

December 4, 2018 by

The Whitehorse festival season is well underway and a festive night of Christmas carols will be taking place.

Residents of Mitcham and other local suburbs can look forward to a talented line up of performers and an exciting appearance from an extra special guest – Santa Claus.

This year’s concert performers include actor, presenter and singer Rob Mills, children’s group The Mik Maks, Verity Hunt Ballard, the Blackburn High School Senior Jazz Orchestra, the Combined Churches of North Blackburn and the Australian Girls’ Choir.

The free event hosted by the City of Whitehorse will also feature rides and amusements that will entertain the whole family. Events such as this are often promoted using poster printing services. There will be a photo opportunity with Santa from 4:30pm.

Each year, the Whitehorse City Council run a festival program from spring through to the autumn that is enjoyed by more than 50,000 residents. The first event for 2019 will be the Whitehorse Australia Day Concert and Fireworks.

The Whitehorse Carols will take place on Sunday 16 December at the Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct. Rides and amusements will be open from 4:30pm-9:30pm and the concert is scheduled to take place between 5:30pm and 9:30pm. Further details including public transport options can be found on the City of Whitehorse website and Facebook page.
