Low cost office space on offer in Welshpool

Small business owners in Welshpool are being offered an opportunity to lease low cost office space owned by Canning Council.

The move to offer the space, which is part of a collaborative work area, follows its endorsement at the City’s Ordinary Council Meeting held recently.

Those who take up the offer will be able to advertise their address on business cards as ‘37 Murray’, the new branding for what was formerly known as the Welshpool Business Enterprise centre. As the name suggests, the office space is located at 37 Murray Road, Welshpool.

According to Canning Mayor Paul Ng, the centre’s rebranding also saw the erection of three new signs to provide better brand and site presence. In encouraging small business proprietors to look seriously at the opportunity to be based at the centre, Mayor Ng said:

“As a small business it can be hard to find affordable office space and many business owners end up having to work from home, which is not ideal.”

Office spaces, he added, were available from a low $135 per week. Vacant tenancies currently available to cater for small businesses total 15 with office sizes ranging from 16-54m² and include office combos, industrial units, offices and warehouses.

Spaces include negotiable terms, competitive rental prices, security gate and perimeter fencing, an on-site café for use by tenants and ample off-street parking. Community groups may also be interested in hiring the Learning Exchange space which has recently been refurbished.
