Brewers Feast celebrates beer at Abbotsford Convent

January 13, 2019 by

A craft beer festival is set to be held at the Abbotsford Convent in February.

The Brewers Feast gives beer-lovers the opportunity to sample the styles, flavours and tastes of craft beers produced in Australia including several Bintani Festival Beers made specially for the Brewers Feast.

In addition to the beer, there will be live music and alternative beverages including wine, cider and whisky. A program of bands and singers will perform on two stages throughout both days of the event. Festivals such as this often use poster printing to publicise the event.

Beer tastings, exploring which beers pair well with meats, cheeses and even confectionary will be held on both days, as will masterclasses about different aspects of brewing and beer-making. Classes will run for 45 minutes and have free entry.

There will be a wide variety of food options, from smoked meats and burgers to wood-fired pizza and gourmet macaroni cheese as well as desserts such as waffles, popcorn and ice cream. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

People attending the feast are encouraged to arrange a designated driver or use public transport. Those from neighbouring suburbs, such as Clifton Hill, Collingwood and Richmond might enjoy the walk.

Brewers Feast will be held on Saturday 23rd February from 11:30am until 8pm and Sunday 24th from 11:00am to 5pm at Abbotsford Convent on St Heliers Street.
