Moviehouse is a film society offering weekly movies at the Kingston Arts Centre in Moorabbin. Its 2019 program offers something for everyone.

For an annual membership fee, Moviehouse members can enjoy a different movie each week at the Black Box Theatre. The program for 2019 has been decided and includes classic movies from a wide variety of genres including comedies, dramas, musicals, westerns, romance, crime and war movies.

The first movie for 2019 will be the 1955 musical ‘Oklahoma!’ showing on 5th February. On 12th February there will be a screening of ‘All My Sons’, a 1948 drama starring Edward G Robinson and Burt Lancaster. ‘The Young Lions’, a 1958 war movie with Marlon Brando and ‘Kings Row’ an American drama from 1942 complete the program for February.

Initiatives such as this often use brochure printing to let members know about the details of upcoming events.

The theatre has spaces for eight wheelchairs and is equipped with a hearing loop. Movies play at 10:30am each Monday except on public holidays and from 10am, members can enjoy a cuppa and the chance to chat with fellow film buffs. There are no showings during October due to Seniors Festival events.

Memberships cost $25 per person, which gives access to every movie throughout the year and can be purchased before the movie or by phoning the box office. There are no tickets for single showings.
