Maroondah Council has been busy brochure printing to ensure the latest copy of Parks and Paths in Maroondah is out in time for residents to explore the great outdoors during the summer.

Deputy Mayor Kylie Spears said the brochure has been published to make it more enjoyable, safer and easier for people and their pets to enjoy the area’s wonderful paths and parks, adding:

“There are more than 400 parks and reserves in Maroondah that cater for recreation, relaxation, sport and fitness, and the protection of our natural environment. And with 126 playgrounds as well as parks for skateboarding, scooters and BMX riding, you’re spoilt for choice.”

A map of the wide range of parks, walking and bike paths in Heathmont and throughout Maroondah has been included in the brochure as well as key attractions such as shelters, on-site parking, barbecues, picnic areas, sporting facilities and more. Playgrounds that cater for all abilities and ages are also listed.

Councillor Spears said the brochure will provide residents with a tool to plan their journeys ahead of schedule including trips to Melbourne CBD and the Frankston foreshore which are both accessible via paths that run through the area.

The brochure also includes an interactive map and searchable playgrounds and parks section. Copies of the Parks & Paths in Maroondah brochure are readily available for easy pick up at all of council’s customer service centres.
