Annual women's lunch to be held in Moonee Valley

March 24, 2015 by

Female entrepreneurs from Essendon can join fellow businesswomen from around Moonee Valley at a special lunch this month.

The Women in Business meeting is a popular annual event that offers the chance to mix with like-minded women as well as hear from inspirational speakers.

This year, the theme for the event will be wellbeing and the importance of trying to create a good balance between work and life.

The guest speaker will be novelist and journalist Tara Moss, who has written nine novels as well as publishing non-fiction work and working as a journalist for organisations including The Sydney Morning Herald and ABC online.

The mother of one is also an advocate for children’s and women’s rights, and recently became patron of the Full Stop Foundation which works to end domestic violence, as well as being a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

The event will be hosted by Dr Joanna McMillan, a nutritionist and wellbeing expert who focuses on women’s health and nutrition – a role she balances with bringing up her own family of two children.

Anyone thinking of attending should make sure their business card printing is up to date, as the event is sure to prove an ideal opportunity for networking and forming new relationships.

The lunch takes place on Friday, March 27th at The Event Centre in Flemington and tickets can be booked through Moonee Valley City Council.
