The objectives of the Tourism and Events Committee are:

  • To provide a platform for the improvement of the visitor economy within Liverpool by establishing a streamlined, transparent, consistent and effective approach to monitoring and advising on tourism and major events in the Liverpool LGA, with the desired outcome of increasing activity in this space;
  • To identify opportunities for community organisations, local businesses and experts, to collaborate towards improving Liverpool’s visitor economy; and
  • To monitor its progress by reporting on each Committee meeting through Council reporting.
