Growing concern set to spark jobs boost

June 29, 2017 by

A jobs boost in Print company in Dandenong printing services Dandenong has been forecast, with new plans for the expansion of a local organic sultana specialist’s operation in Crompton Way.

Murray River Organics will receive support from the State Government to help set up the organic distribution and packaging facility, as well as the corporate office, in a move set to create up to 75 new jobs in South Dandenong.

Company Director Erling Sorensen explained that the business had been on steady path of expansion since it was first established during the 1970s, saying:

“We were one of the pioneering organic dry vine fruit vineyards in the country.

“We were founded on growing organic dried vine fruit in Sunraysia and we grew up to become the largest producer of organic dried vine fruit in the world.”

The town of Mildura is home to more than 1214 hectares of Murray River Organics vineyards where the drying, processing and cleaning of sultanas is carried out prior to being packaged and transported to Dandenong.

Company business cards reveal a host of proprietary brands including Premium Australian Clusters, Pacific Organics and Gobble.

Sorensen said good staff supply and infrastructure encouraged the company to set up the new facility in Dandenong South.

He said the company already employs in excess of 120 employees and its operations include offices in China, Japan, USA and Europe.

Its range of products extends from sultanas and rice, to nut butters and coconut oil.
