Biennial exhibition to focus on top photographic images

Intriguing photographic images will be showcased at the 2016 biennial Photographic Awards exhibition.

Hosted by the City of Stirling, the exhibition seeks to celebrate the art of photography during a fun-packed weekend at the Inglewood Civic Centre.

Organisers said everyone from Print company in Balcatta printing services Balcatta, Inglewood and neighbouring suburbs throughout the city is welcome to attend the event which will, include everything from interactive installations mounted by popular local artists like Lewis Catalano, Georgina McKay and Steve Berrick, to the launch of Chronicles Stirling, which is the city’s oral histories project.

He said the Inglewood Library and Stirling History Collection will also present a display thsat delves into the area’s history, while snacks and music will also be available.

Photographs, which are used often on calendars and holiday cards to promote the city, are an important part of everyone’s lives, according to the spokesman. He said the Photographic Awards exhibition will give attendees an excellent opportunity to brush up on their camera skills, with various workshops for the young and old alike to be held throughout the four-day event.

Katherine Dorrington will cover the topic of Flat-lay Image Styling, while other workshops will focus on DSLR Night Photography and DSLR Camera Skills, plus scanning and Print company in digital printing printing services digital printing.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner.

The exhibition weekend will be held from November 18 to 21.
