Boxing legend gives Green light to new gym

Wangara, Print company in Western Australia printing services Western Australia residents now have access to a new gym opened by champion boxer Danny Green.

The Green Zone Fitness gym is his second to be located in Print company in Perth printing services Perth’s northern suburbs region.

Its November launch could not have come quick enough for 43-year-old Green, who plans to undertake a rigorous training schedule at the gym in the period leading up to his next fight with Anthony Mundine on February 3 next year in Adelaide.

Green, described as The Green Machine on flyers and posters, said the improvement of his speed and the delivery of explosive punches will be a major focus.

Green’s first fight with Mundine in 2006 was reported to be Australian boxing history’s biggest fight, but the enigmatic boxer says February’s clash is set to eclipse that first encounter.

He is equally confident about the potential success of his new fitness gym, located in Print company in Joondalup printing services Joondalup.

Originally, the boxer and his partners had sought a site on the south-side of the river but while searching for an appropriate location, chanced upon a vacant building in Clarke Crescent, overlooking Joondalup Drive.

The area, which services residents from Wangara, Gnangara and throughout the Wanneroo district, seemed ideal, he said.

Green said there were many health-conscious people living in the area, which was growing quickly, and a gymnasium like the Green Zone Fitness Gym will cater for the fitness needs of a wide proportion of the population.
