Bunjil Place to celebrate first birthday

Narre Warren is set to celebrate the first birthday of Bunjil Place.

City of Casey Mayor, Geoff Ablett said plenty of entertainment and free activities were planned and everyone was invited to join in. Since its opening, the venue, according to the mayor, has attracted more than 1 million people to major performances, installations, events and various programmes. Many events like this have been advertised via poster and flyer printing.

Mayor Ablett was delighted with the venue’s success so far and said:

“We have packed so much into the first 12 months and now it’s time to once again celebrate this magnificent community facility.”

He said preparations for the big birthday celebrations on October 28 will see the programme include something to suit all ages. The plaza will be packed with craft and art workshops, roving entertainment, music, food trucks and a birthday cake, while the library will host face painting and book characters. Meanwhile, there will be lots of fun shows on stage for children to enjoy.

Tickets, which will be free (with a limit of 4 per person) for the stage performances, are available now and can be accessed online at the Bunjil Place website.

Mayor Ablett said the birthday celebrations will be held from 10am to 5pm, and the event will provide a great opportunity for residents to check out the venue first hand if they had not already done so.
