Business advice on offer in Footscray

March 9, 2015 by

Entrepreneurs from the Footscray area can expand their skills this year with a series of workshops organised by Maribyrnong City Council.

The authority’s Economic Development Department has just released its list of seminars and workshops for 2015, designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises to develop and grow their operations.

This year, the seminars include marketing, business planning and networking. Topics covered will include identifying possible problems for a company and making contingency plans, traditional advertising and online marketing, starting a firm and growing a business, and the benefits of networking.

Light suppers are included at the evening events and there is likely to also be time for networking, so participants might like to think about putting in an order for business card printing so they can swap details with potential commercial partners or clients.

The events all take place at the council’s offices in on the corner of Hyde and Napier Streets in Footscray, so local entrepreneurs can attend and learn new techniques and create fresh strategies.

The first workshops take place this month and then the events run regularly until June. Places often fill fast, so those who are interested are advised to book early.

For more information on the seminars, visit the Maribyrnong City Council website. Most events are free, but places usually need to be booked in advance.
