Business advice on offer in Yarra

Business owners in Abbotsford looking to reinvent or boost their companies this year could think about attending the Yarra City Council’s next Business Networking Breakfast.

The breakfast series is organised by the council’s Economic Development Unit, which supports the more than 13,000 businesses operating in the area.

The guest speaker at the event will be Dr Marcus Powe, who will be speaking about what holds entrepreneurs back and what they can do to regain their love of business and move forward. Dr Powe has 25 years of business coaching experience and is currently Entrepreneur in Residence at RMIT University, a Melbourne-based technology and design institution, where he works with staff and students to develop their business ideas. He also works with businesses to help them use creativity to improve growth, particularly during difficult economic times.

With the chance to network and develop relationships with many other local entrepreneurs, attendees should consider professional business card printing to make sure their details are up to date, and they can create the right first impression. Digital business cards should also be a consideration in the modern age, where many communications are done by email or social media.

The meeting, which includes refreshments, will be held at Church 364 in Richmond on Thursday March 20th, starting at 6.45am. Places cost $50 and can be booked through the Yarra City Council website.
