Business professionals to share knowledge and ideas over breakfast

April 26, 2017 by

Business owners interested in networking and sharing ideas will have the opportunity to meet over breakfast in Mordialloc, near Braeside.

Increasingly, corporate and professional bodies are realising the importance of sharing their knowledge and advances in their business practices and technology. A hot breakfast will be provided while attendees will have the opportunity to listen to guest speaker Steve McNaughton, Director of Co-Ex Films, speak on his involvement in bringing Operation Clean Sweep into his organisation.

McNaughton has worked in the plastics industry for more than 30 years and Operation Clean Sweep is an innovation which aims to reduce the amount of pollution caused by polymer pellets being accidentally released into the waterways.

In addition, Sustainability Victoria will have a delegate present at the event to answer questions, while also offering energy assessment grants to businesses that employ fewer than 200 staff while spending greater than $20,000 on energy in a year. Sustainability Victoria is a statutory authority of the Victorian government with a mandate to educate and encourage sustainable practices to protect the environment. It is usual for participants in such events to exchange business cards, digitally or otherwise.

The Sustainable Business Network Breakfast will be held from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at the Woodlands Golf Club on 109 White Street in Mordialloc tomorrow, April 26.
