Gaining a competitive advantage in business will be the focus of this year’s Whitehorse Business Week activities.

Staged during the Small Business Festival hosted by the Victorian Government, the event is held annually to benefit established and emerging businesses across the City of Whitehorse, including Box Hill South .

Factors that help businesses obtain an edge are a major focus, according to Mayor Andrew Davenport, who said:

“The Women in Business Expo and Luncheon always features a talented businesswoman to share her journey in the world of business, and offer advice and tips for success.”

This year’s guest speaker is Australian politician and athlete Nova Peris OAM, who has represented the country in both hockey and sprinting.

Peris’ business cards have also featured her in the role of senator having been elected to the Australian Senate in 2013. She retired from the Senate in 2016.

Whitehorse Business Week aims to give local business owners and their employees the latest information on investment and trends in customer service during its run from August 13 to 17.

Events are scheduled to take place at the Box Hill Golf Club, One Community in Blackburn, and the Vogue Ballroom in Burwood East.

The programme features everything from `China Ready Checklist – Business Lunch’ to `The Future of Digital Marketing for Your Business – Business Lunch’.
