Careers can be kickstarted in Perth next month

Those who are looking for a new career should head to the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in May for one of the longest running career expos in Western Australia.

The expo is aimed at everyone from recent graduates and young people looking for their first job or trade, to older people looking for a change in career, a new option within their current profession or a return to study for extra qualifications.

Exhibitors include tertiary institutions from across Australia, trade and apprenticeship organisations and representatives from government departments and organisations such as the police and the defence force.

The show may be helpful for junior school students and their parents making subject choices for senior classes as students can learn which subjects would be most suitable for their preferred career or university course. Older students making choices about university or further study may also find the event useful. School parties can book slots in advance to make the most of a visit.

People from Bellevue who are looking at career options might like to think about business card printing before they attend the expo. Quality printed cards look professional and can create a good image for job hunters or those applying for apprenticeships.

The expo runs from Thursday May 16th to Sunday May 19th. It is open from 9am until 3pm on Thursday and Friday and from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free. The Exhibition Centre is in central Perth next to the Swan River. For more information, visit the career expo website.
