Céline store could excite shoppers from Epping

Luxury fashion firm Céline is ready to bring its distinctive brand of glamour to Melbourne.

The fashion house will occupy a standalone retail outlet in Collins Street. Consumers from suburbs such as Epping may want to see what the French outfit has to offer. Promotional products can be effective within the retail sector.

The former creative director of Céline, Phoebe Philo, stated:

“Working with Céline has been an exceptional experience for me the last 10 years. I am grateful to have worked with an incredibly talented and committed team and I would like to thank everyone along the way who has been a part of the collaborations and conversations … it’s been amazing.”

The new creative director at Céline, Hedi Slimane, was once employed by Yves Saint Laurent. The Melbourne store will be affected by the change in personnel at the label. Firstly, a fresh fragrance line is due to be made available to the public. Secondly, the menswear offer will be updated in a significant way.

Prior to the Melbourne experiment, Céline has operated within Australia. However, the house is used to working from within an existing department store or from inside a shopping centre.

The move to Melbourne will allow it autonomy, but Melbourne’s Céline should also gain from being adjacent to the likes of Gucci, Cartier and Versace.
