Chance for Sunshine Coast businesses to connect

The Maroochydore Chamber of Commerce has added a series of free workshops on workforce development as part of its Connect 2015 business event.

This is the first year that the Connect event has been run and will bring business leaders from across the Sunshine Coast together.

Speakers include television personality and successful businesswoman Deborah Hutton, who will speak on reinventing yourself and being resilient to change. Also, Kim McCosker, the successful author of the bestselling cookbook "4 Ingredients", and Ferre De Deyne, owner of the Sunshine Coast’s Landsborough’s Big Kart Track, will join a panel of speakers discussing how to create a lasting brand.

The latest addition to the programme will focus on a number of different sectors including tourism, leisure, aviation and health.

As well as a chance to learn new things, the event will provide networking opportunities so participants should consider business card printing or ordering digital business cards from a local print company, to enable them to pass on their details.

The workforce development discussions are open to any local business free of charge even those who aren’t attending the full Connect event.

Tickets are still available for Connect 2015 and bookings for both parts of the event can be made via the Connect website.

The Connect programme will be held at TAFE Queensland East Coast’s campus at Mooloolaba on Thursday July 30th from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
