Flyer and poster printing is complete and organisers are inviting entries in the 2017 annual Fisher’s Ghost Fun Run in Campbelltown.

The annual run, which has become a popular activity of the local Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, challenges the fitness level of participants who follow a circuit that incorporates Campbelltown’s TAFE NSW and Western Sydney University campuses.

All abilities and ages are catered for during the run, which offers either a 5 or 10km course.

Mayor of Campbelltown George Brticevic said the event, which Council hosts, effectively unites the community on the festival’s final day and should not be missed.

“As someone who has taken part in the fun run, I know how satisfying it is to complete the race. I’d encourage the community to take part, either as a serious competitor or simply to enjoy a healthy activity in a scenic setting.”

The Mayor said the Marsdens Law Group, that sponsors the race, will also provide a team of runners from their staff to take part on the day.

Runners will need to be ready for the start of the race on November 12 at 8:00 am. Entry fees for children are $25 and adults $35.

Completing the course sees each entrant walk away with a free T-shirt as well as a chance to win one of a number of prizes in a special barrel draw.

The race offers a number of categories covering individual and team entries.
