Culinary fest to showcase Asian cuisine

Residents of Springvale, Victoria, will be among thousands of local people to benefit from the annual Food and Wine Festival celebrations in 2015.

As part of the massive occasion held across the suburbs of Melbourne simultaneously each year, Springvale will give locals an opportunity to taste a wide array of cuisines from all parts of the world.

Organisers say those taking part will be transported as they consume traditional street food while also experiencing the smell, atmosphere and sounds of dining out in China, Cambodia and Vietnam, but with the added convenience of not leaving Springvale.

The Pop Up Springvale event has been likened to the food market precincts of Siem Reap and Hanoi.

Visitors will be able to buy fresh ingredients direct from local restaurant suppliers, and with more than 50 cafes and restaurants in Springvale, there will be plenty of choice when it comes to selecting a dining venue.

There will also be a special event providing Asian cuisine for rail commuters at Springvale station on 5th March.

As part of the 2015 Food and Wine Festival, residents will also be on the doorstep to the annual Dandenong World Fare, to be held at the Dandenong Markets.

Flyer printing advertising the scheduled list of events is undertaken each year to ensure residents are informed on the many featured stalls, events, and activities taking place.
