Current Springvale library among most successful libraries in the country

The existing Springvale library is currently one of the most visited libraries in the entire country – there are 83,000 members signed up to the current Springvale Library and Dandenong Library combined.

According to Martin Fidler, director of council community services, the good facilities and wide range of library materials are some of the reasons why the Springvale and Dandenong libraries are currently among the top 10 most popular libraries in the country.

Furthermore, the welcoming library staff, free Wi-Fi, English language assistance, reading programs, and regulated indoor temperature also increase the appeal of the libraries to people in the community. Fidler also added that he expects visitation to libraries in the area to further improve following the opening of the new Springvale Library in the near future.

Libraries are known to be very important cornerstones of a happy and healthy community. Therefore, libraries are available in most Australian suburbs, providing a safe and comfortable place for people to go to spend their free time wisely. The libraries offer various reading materials, teaching materials, educational programs, Wi-Fi, computers and printing services. Educational poster printing and display are often carried out within libraries to encourage the community to pick up the good habit of reading, and to remind everyone that life is a never-ending learning process.
