June 27, 2013 by

Entrepreneurs from Essendon will have the chance to hear from one of the country's leading economic experts at a special lunch in August.

Professor Neville Norman will be the guest speaker at the Moonee Valley City Council's Gala Business Lunch. Professor Norman is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Melbourne and a sought after public speaker. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Arts from Melbourne University and a PhD from Cambridge. As well as lecturing at the university, Professor Norman is involved with several advisory boards and is President of the Economic Society of Australia.

At the lunch, he will discuss the state of Australia's economy and its future and how it relates to business owners on a day-to-day basis. Professor Norman is known for being able to present complicated economic concepts in an easily understandable way, meaning the lunch should be suitable for a wide range of business owners.

The event will also be a chance to meet other entrepreneurs from across the Moonee Valley area to share ideas and develop future relationships. Anyone thinking of attending should make sure their business card printing is done professionally to create the right impression on potential new partners.

The lunch will be held on Friday August 2nd from midday to 2.30pm at the Moonee Valley Racing Club in Moonee Ponds. Tickets are available now and each includes a three course lunch. Early booking is recommended. For more information, visit the business page on the council's website.
