The Zeitgeist Movement will be hosting its global awareness symposium, Zeitgeist Day, at Fortitude Valley. Starting in 2009, this will be the ninth year that this event has been staged with the view to identifying, discussing and exploring solutions to problems within society and the world through scientific means.

The theme of this year’s symposium is ‘Towards Global Unity and Abundance’ with social advocate speakers from around the world addressing the audience, with opportunities for attendees to interact by asking questions and to participate in workshops.

Speakers will include the founder of the Zeitgeist Movement, Peter Joseph, Federico Pistono (who authored ‘Robots Will Steal Your Job But That’s Okay’), international speaker Mike Gilliland, and Eleanor Goldfield from the TV show ‘Act Out’. Entertainment will be provided by Australian band Dead Letter Circus. Exhibits will be staged in stalls onsite demonstrating methods of using technology to solve societal problems. Food and drink stalls will be present.

Just the type of event usually uses flyer printing and poster printing, people can attend Z-Day at the New Globe Theatre on 220 Brunswick Street at Fortitude Valley on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm both days. Attendance is open to any who are interested in learning more about seeking ways to create a more sustainable and equitable world.
