Festival to celebrate the coming of spring

Mitcham, Victoria will be celebrating the onset of spring and warmer weather with the Spring Festival.

This is a day for visitors of all ages to delight in activities filled with fun. Free rides, entertainers and performers, as well as art and craft markets, will be on hand to ensure that the day is a success. There will be a variety of activities to choose from, including workshops, face painting, giant games and circus performances. Five stages will be alive with local entertainers. Additionally, there will be a variety of food and drinks available.

Local hobby and interest groups will be displaying information about their activities with the theme of the festival this year revolving around nautical activities. Children especially are invited to dress up to embrace the aquatic theme. Beach-themed activities will be on offer, as well as the opportunity to explore and discover aquatic animals such as a beluga whale and a fish. Sailors and pirates will also be around to add to the fun.

It is likely that banner printing, poster printing, promotional products, and flyers will be used for this event.

The Spring Festival will take place on Sunday, October 16 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Whitehouse Civic Centre at 397 Whitehorse Road in Nunawading. Entry is open to all ages.
