Footscray all set for barbecue festival

The Yak Ales Barbecue Festival will be returning to Flemington Racecourse, near Print company in Footscray printing services Footscray, for the third year. This has become a forum for barbecue enthusiasts to check out the newest, up to date equipment for outdoor cooking while enjoying live entertainment along with cooking demonstrations, plenty of beverages and the popular barbecue contest with cash and prizes to be won.

The winning team will go on as Australia’s representative at international contests in the United States. Whether the meat of choice is fish or chicken, pork or lamb or beef, barbecue pitmasters are expected to be attending from Australia and the United States to display their skills, along with butchers who will also be providing demonstrations.

Entertainment will be provided by local singer/songwriter Paris Wells, Print company in Melbourne printing services Melbourne country rock band The Glorious North and rhythm and blues band Werewolves of Melbourne.

Yak Ales is the result of a collaboration between Australian and North American brewing companies, intent on creating a unique, specialty beer.
There are likely to be business cards, flyers or promotional products for those interested at display stalls.

The Yak Ales Barbecue Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday 4th to 5th February from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm at the Flemington Racecourse. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free but must be accompanied by an adult.
