The Small Business Bus, operated by the Victorian Government, is heading to the City of Whitehorse.

Anyone from Print company in Box Hill South printing services Box Hill South and surrounding areas wishing to find out more about the world of small business, including start-up and taking an established small business to the next level, is urged to take part in mentoring sessions being offered during its visit.

The bus was described by Whitehorse Councillor Bill Bennett, as ‘a mobile office’.

He said it would include an information officer who will be available to offer Whitehorse community members’ personal mentoring sessions.

“The bus is a great one-stop shop for those wanting information about a business idea, setting up a small business or growing a business.

“The professionals attached to the Small Business Bus offer 45-minute information/mentoring sessions tailored to individual needs.”

Participants are encouraged to be prepared to ask questions on a range of topics relating to running a business including the all-important task of organising stationery printers and a logo design.

Cr Bennett said Council was committed to hosting events and providing opportunities for local people in business and he urged everyone interested to take advantage of the free and informative service on offer.

The Small Business Bus is scheduled to be at Whitehorse Civic Centre in Nunawading on November 13 and at the Box Hill Library in Whitehorse Road on November 14.

Bookings can be made online via the Council website.
