Fresh is best at Perth Home Grown market

Produce from the orchards and farms in and around Perth, Western Australia, are attracting shoppers to the city on a regular basis as part of the Perth Home Grown produce market.

First trialled with great success last year, the markets have proven a popular venue at which to showcase and sell a wide array of food and products directly to city folk.

Organisers say the produce far exceeds what shoppers would find in their local supermarkets, with stalls featuring vegetables and fruit direct from the farms. People will also be able to select from a wide range of other goods, including free range eggs, freshly baked breads, lamb, honey, nuts, and organic beef.

Targeting all who enjoy making and devouring home-style cooking, the markets also host an impressive range of accompaniments such as sauces, chutneys, pickles, and oils. Those who like biscuits, cakes, gourmet popcorn, chocolates, and fresh teas will not be disappointed. Many of the delicious treats would be suitable as featured images on marketing materials such as brochure printing.

Adding to the variety on offer are plants, handcrafted goods, and fresh cut flowers. For those who enjoy the challenge of growing their own plants but have limited space, displays of urban gardening and raising micro herbs would be of great interest.

The free Perth Home Grown markets are held at Forrest Place in the centre of Perth each Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm until June 29.
