Geelong’s next Food Truck Friday just a couple of weeks away

July 17, 2018 by

Geelong hosts Food Truck Friday every first Friday of the month from February to November, offering local foodies the chance to taste flavours from all around the world.

The lineup of food trucks changes every month, giving the community a different tasting platter each time. This allows local food truck businesses a platform to showcase and market their cuisine.

Guests can select from such world cuisines as Thai, Filipino, Portuguese, Italian pizza, sushi, meatballs or burgers, as foods from various parts of the globe tease the taste buds. A wide variety of fare is available.

Flags of different shapes, banners with different colours, and streamers with logos and names of the different food proprietors also beckon customers to come and try the local fare. Colourful tents shade locals from the elements, inviting everyone to take a seat, grab a bite, and sip a drink under cover.

Attendees can have a break with friends, colleagues, or family, or enjoy some quiet time alone. They can also tap to the beat of music as they enjoy lunch with the live entertainment on offer.

Food Truck Friday is at Little Malop Central, Little Malop Street, between Moorabool and Yarra Streets, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. It will next come round on August 3, and more details on other upcoming dates can be found on the City of Greater Geelong website.
