Halloween fun for Randwick children

October 27, 2017 by

Randwick’s favourite annual celebration of Halloween, Swamp Monsters, is an interactive trick-or-treat trail through nearby Centennial Park. The event is suitable for children between the ages of four and twelve.

Each child will receive a trail map to follow, in order to solve puzzles along the way and find the treats, while avoiding the tricks of a Witch, a Mad Scientist and other swamp creatures.

The trails will start every fifteen minutes throughout the day, and parents must select a start time when booking. Events of this type are ideal for children’s parties, for which local stationery printers might also offer themed invitations with a logo design.

In addition to dressing up on the day, children can also exercise their creativity prior to this by carving their own pumpkins, in order to win tickets for a future event. Parents are asked to drop off the carved pumpkins at the Learning Centre in the Education Precinct, Dickens Drive, on Friday, October 27, between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, for judging before the big day.

Each Swamp Monsters trail will start at the Learning Centre on Saturday, October 28, from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm. The cost is $20 per child, and booking is online through Eventbrite. Children must be accompanied by an adult, for whom admission will be free. Parking in Centennial Park is free.
