Inspirational leaders to speak in Joondalup

March 19, 2014 by

A trio of high-flying women will speak in Joondalup later this month in the first of a new series of forums exploring leadership.

The forum series has been organised by the West Coast Institute, and the first event focuses on women in leadership.

Three speakers will address the forum and there will also be interactive sessions to help participants learn new skills.

Former managing director of the Institute, Sue Slavin, who now works as a leadership consultant and mentor, will be one of the speakers. She will be joined by Ganit Poleg-Spark, who specialises in negotiation and conflict management and will lead a session on managing conflict in the workplace.

The third speaker is Sonja Cox, director of operational performance, policy and planning in Western Australia’s Department of Corrections. Cox was responsible for launching an extensive new programme that monitors certain types of offenders by GPS after release, and was named Telstra Western Australia’s Business Woman of the Year in 2013.

There will be a chance for networking with both the speakers and other business leaders during breaks, so it might be an idea for participants to look into professional business card printing so they create a good first impression with potential clients or partners.

The forum takes place at the Institute’s Joondalup campus on Wednesday March 26th, from 1.30pm to 6pm. For more information or to book, visit the Institute’s website.
