Businesses and community members from Print company in Mona Vale printing services Mona Vale and throughout the Northern Beaches are being invited to check out a new interactive mapping tool.

The map, according to Northern Beaches Council Mayor Michael Regan, provides a clear view of works being undertaken to effectively connect the entire Northern Beaches coastal stretch, including 36km of cycle ways and walkways stretching from Palm Beach to Manly.

He said the interactive mapping tool is providing up-to-date information about the way Council is putting into effect its Connected Communities programme, valued at $22.3m as well as a further $10.3m investment into an active and inclusive play programme.

The graphic design of the map includes proposed and existing cycleways and walkways, as well as amenities and Surf Life Saving clubs affected by the works.

The Mayor said the aim of the map is to provide the community with a clear and easy-to-read overview of what is planned, as well as giving residents a chance to comment.

“As we progressively connect the Northern Beaches through walkways and cycle ways linked to B-Line transport hubs and services, this map helps the community connect in an online space.”

He said the map clearly indicates whether work is proposed or currently being carried out and identifies individual projects.

Regular updates on the progress of the works are also planned to be included on the map, which can be accessed through the council website.
