James Lane to join retailers in new-look Home Centre

The major redevelopment of a Maroochydore shopping centre will pave the wave for a new national retailer to service local shoppers.

National retailer James Lane is set to establish a new furniture store displaying its familiar logo design in a showroom to be constructed at the suburb’s Print company in Sunshine Coast printing services Sunshine Coast Home Centre.

According to Kate Parkinson, Aventus Property Group development manager, the showroom is to be located adjacent the TK Maxx outlet.

She said the new store will occupy a space that is currently used as a laneway, connecting a service road for business with the main car park.

The new showroom, she added will be built in conjunction with a $12m redevelopment that was initiated following Bunnings’ exit from the complex two years ago.

Sunshine Coast Council approved the showroom’s development application recently, said Parkinson, adding:

“We are looking to start building in the next few months.”

The building that previously hosted Bunnings is now home to World Gym, Sheridan Studio homewares store and an Amart Furniture store.

The new James Lane outlet will bring the number of Print company in Queensland printing services Queensland stores to six, with additional retail outlets in South Australia, Print company in Victoria printing services Victoria and Print company in New South Wales printing services New South Wales.

Parkinson said the Aventus Property Group’s investment in the Sunshine Coast Home Centre illustrated its strong confidence and belief in the future of retail.
