Theatre enthusiasts in Midland will be in for a real treat when the Marloo Theatre presents a performance of The Jungle Book.

To be presented by the Darlington Players under the directorship of Shelly Miller, the favourite classic is set to entertain all members of the family.

A theatre spokesman said the production will include all the intrigue of the original stories written by Rudyard Kipling as well as the exuberance and energy of contemporary musicals.

The cast, he said, is huge and features all ages.

The musical’s choreography is being directed by Rachel Vonk who is set to add a new dimension to the production through dance.

According to organisers, The Jungle Book will present a musical journey through Rudyard Kipling’s fantasy realm and see his beloved story book characters come to life on stage.

Flyer printing promoting the show reveals a talented cast which includes Lukas Stein-wandel as the man-cub Mowgli, Paul Reed as Tiger Shere Khan and his eccentric friends including Ryan Perrin as Baloo and Suzy Wakeling as Bagheera.

The fun-filled comedy is aimed at both the young at heart and the young.

Tickets are available at $22 adults, $20 concession, $18 members and children. Family passes for two children and two adults are also available for $70.

The Jungle Book will be on stage from November 17 to December 9 and early bookings are advised to avoid disappointment.
