Logan City entertainment events get June underway

Residents of Slacks Creek and other suburbs of Logan City can expect a variety of acts over the next few weeks at the Logan Entertainment Centre.

The LEC has been servicing this community for almost 15 years, having opened in July 2002. Since then, it has brought a wide variety of entertainment and other events to its venue in Wembley Road.

The Limelight Bistro and Bar opened in October 2010, serving food for up to two hours before performances. Also open by special arrangement during certain events such as awards evenings and exhibitions, the Bistro is available for private functions including weddings, birthdays and corporate parties which require catering. For these, local printing services may be used for presentation folders and other corporate gifts.

In 2012, the LEC introduced a membership programme to give its most loyal patrons discounted tickets, as well as opportunities to enter competitions. At the same time, the new website and Facebook page improved online branding for the venue.

Upcoming events for June include two performances of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ by Stretton State College on June 2 and 3 at 7:00 pm, a tribute to Fred Astaire on June 6, and a martial arts event on June 10 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

All tickets can be booked through the LEC’s website.
