Melbourne’s Print Com Expo to Host Printovation Awards

The Graphic Arts Services Association of Australia’s (GASAA) second annual Printovation Awards for excellence and innovation in printing will be presented at the Print Com Expo in September. GASAA’s Printovation Awards categories include wide-format, off-set/web, digital (variable), digital (non-variable) and a general category.

In 2010, Printovation Awards judges recognised seven outstanding and creative designs from businesses and projects based in New South Wales and Victoria including Look Print’s wide format building art printing which was recognised for opening new markets for wide format printing. The 2010 judging panel of Scott Telfer, Managing Director, Southern Colour NSW, Marcus Piper, Joint Creative Director, one8one7, James Cryer, Managing Director, JDA Recruitment and Jackie Connor, General Manager, Digitalpress return to judge the 2011 Printovation Awards.

The Print Com Expo is an opportunity for printing companies and users of printing services to visit over 300 exhibitors across 13,000 square metres covering all aspects of communications, print and display from graphic design through to point of sale displays. Held in Sydney in 2010, Print Com Expo attracted 6,500 visitors and similar numbers are expected to attend the 2011 Melbourne event. Keynote sessions with leading local and international print and communications industry personalities will be a highlight of the Print Com Expo.

The Print Com Expo and GASAA Printovation Awards will co-locate with the Visual Impact Image Expo, Retail Exhibition and Conference and Marketing at Retail Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Melbourne from 13 – 15 September 2011.
