Melbourne Music Week approaches

Lovers of music, film, art and multimedia can start getting excited as the 2018 Melbourne Music Week programme approaches and is expected to be bigger and better than ever.

Hundreds of performances from local and international artists will be spread across multiple venues including The Hub in Melbourne Southbank.

Presented by the City of Melbourne, this year’s line-up will feature 250 acts in 85 events spread across Melbourne. The event creates its dynamic program in conjunction with a range of venues, labels, independent promoters and businesses. Organisers of events such as this may use printing services to create posters, banners and flyers for informational and promotional purposes.

The program offers headline performances at Melbourne Town Hall including artist Jeff Mills who will take his audience on “The Trip”, a space inspired audio-visual experience and a Bad Girls Disco with Renee Geyer. In a less traditional venue, Tram sessions will take place – these are designed to bring live music to commuters and past acts have featured Killing Heidi, Paul Kelly and British India.

A range of talks will take place including a panel discussion on sound healing and music therapy, this talk will be followed by an immersive Sound Bath with Tibetan gongs.

Melbourne Music Week 2018 will run from 16-24 November. Use of public transport is encouraged and further details can be found on the event’s website and Facebook page.
